I would like to plant evergreen shrubs to obscure a view from my home.
The location is total shade - under fir trees. The shrubs can be pruned for height - looking for as much width as possible.
    The area has irrigation.
    Looking for suggestions please.

Yew, holly or box. If you are in a hurry you will have to use bamboo, specifically Fargesia if aggressive root-stocks would be a problem.

    Thank you,
I have read that some yew require some sun? Very little sun in the area. Are you aware of a specific variety that does better in shade?

All yews are among the most tolerant choices. Colored foliage forms will not be as colorful in gloom, maybe that is what you read.
