Generally speaking, do perennial seeds dry well enough off the plant or does one have to wait until the seeds are dry in their pods on their plants? I have taken off pods from my bellflowers, hollyhocks and a few others and kept them to see if they will dry, but even if they do, will they be "mature" enough to propagate successfully? Thanks
Unlikely to work. Best to let them mature on the plant, as they go on getting filled with nutrients up to full maturity.
Why not give some a try ....not much to lose and possibly much to gain. I had to harvest some early this year and will try them out as well....here's to our getting lucky! Micki
