scented plant

  1. im looking for a scented plant to put near my front door that has a nice smell to it , its winter time here and its 65deg now but dosnt get no lower than maybe 30 all winter, what plant would u suggest.

    are you looking for seasonal scent or all year scent?

    Assuming that you want a scented plant that blooms in the winter, there are many possibilities in your temperate climate.
    Evergreen possibilites include several Daphnes: odora, mezerum or bholua; Camellia sasanqua, or Sarcococca (humilis is a dwarf form and ruscifolia gets up to 3 ft. high. Deciduous possibilities include Lonicera purpusii 'Winter Beauty' or Viburnum bodnantese 'Pink Dawn'.
