We have a 40 year old apricot tree that is oozing sap from the trunk and some branches. The leaves and fruit has been significantly reduced since this showed up last season. The bark appears to be be splitting in areas as well. I am a complete fruit tree novice and would love any insight what could be causing this and ideally the treatment. We love the tree and would like to try to save it and get it healthy somehow. Pictures attached.
