I have a sago palm with leaves 12 to 18 inches long. It just grew 3 new leaves that are 4 to 5 feet long. The leaflets have unrolled from the tip to about half way to the base. The rest of the leaflets tips are turning brown. First, is it normal for this leaf size difference with new leaves. Second, what is causing the rest of the leaflets to turn brown. This plant is indoors at my office. I water it when the soil dries out. Usually once a week to once every two weeks. The lights are on most of the time day and night. The A/C is turned off on weekends otherwise it is around 72 degrees F.

Yes the size difference is normal although yours seemed to have taken quite a jump, lucky you!!
The old leaves will turn brown as they put out energy to the new leaves, also no leaf lasts for ever...

I have to disagree that this is 'normal'.
Sounds like you have etiolated growth, hence the plant isn't getting enough light.
The browning leaves/fronds are most likely due to the same reason.

Because I am in sub tropical, I think everyone is growing outdoors. I thought it was a bit of a jump. Namawa is probably right
