Sago Palm Damage

I had put my smaller palms in a coldframe for the winter. The sago palm was a bit too big for it, so the leaves that were against the lid got some damage. Is this able to recover or it the plant toast? What do I need to do? My Zamia furfuracea got fried too.. all leaves are brown. I hope this sends up new leaves I don't think the trunk got any damage.

Another consideration with the sagos is cold damage. When temperatures reach dangerous levels, many people cover their plants during a freeze. If the central growing area is protected the plant will survive. If the leaves turn brown, they will not return to green. It is best to trim these off when the weather warms up but not until then.
