I need a windbreak and I was thinking of Russian Olive. Has anyone tried them in a pot? Will this keep them in check?
I live in a subdivision with 1/2 acre lots.

Re: Pruning or pollarding a curly willow

If there's a weed problem with those there it would be due to re-seeding, unless pot specimens kept cut back and prevented from flowering these would be able to seed out same as if growing in ground.

To grow in containers for a period of years would probably need big ones, like might be called tubs or planters.
