Hi there.... I am trying to locate a source where I can buy this great material. I am not sure what the actual name of it is but when I took over as the groundskeeper I discovered this tubing in a storage box that works great for tying plant material without bruising yet strong and very pliable. I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with it and if so where can I purchase more? I have searched Eddi's, Evergro and Terralink or requested a catalogue. I am going to a couple nurseries today to look but I am sure there is a wholesaler who can set me up with all I need... Thank you all
Not sure what kind of tubing you have, but you might try "Redden Net" in Parksville. It may be called surgical tubing, it's used for trolling hookups. Usually black or light brown coloured. The light brown being more pliable.
consider Arbortie, its a woven fabric product,l 900lbs breaking strength, non UV stabilized so it wont girdle and, there is a special know you can use to allow for stem expansion. www.deeproot.com
There is a commercial orchard product, variously called Stretch Tie or Poly Tie Tube, that sounds like the product you describe. It can be used to tie trees, and stretches as the tree grows so it won't girdle. Don't know if it is available in Canada, but you might google those terms.
