I didn't realize I'd missed so many wonderful posts at Appreciation: - Roses. I'm going to go make myself a fresh cup of coffee and come back to admire them at leisure.
    Thank you.

Thé coast sunset (or sunrise) orange rose — I am making up the name because it’s what it reminded me of - is spectacular in Wendy’s photo essay above

There are still roses in bloom at the Stanley Park Rose Garden. I have no idea how to write the name of this first one. Rosa Floral Fairy Tale. On the website of Kordes, the breeder, it just appears as Floral Fairy Tale, or
KORmamtiza / ® / TM; on another site, it's Floral™ Fairy Tale. The label says it's a Floribunda.

Rosa 'Rhapsody in Blue', also a Floribunda, is still looking good. I posted this one back in June.

July 11, 2022 in the Stanley Park Rose Garden. I've managed to forget everything I posted before - I thought most of what I saw today was new, but I see these names posted here from previous years, in some cases with details about the names.
For instance, here is Rosa 'Floral Fairy Tale', posted just above in October last year, with name options. It looks quite different, yes?
    FloralFairyTale-Floribunda_StanleyParkRoseGarden_Cutler_20220711_152100.jpg FloralFairyTale-Floribunda_StanleyParkRoseGarden_Cutler_20220711_152130(0).jpg

    R. 'Garden Delight', a Floribunda, as is the previous one.
    GardenDelight-Floribunda_StanleyParkRoseGarden_Cutler_20220711_152322.jpg GardenDelight-Floribunda_StanleyParkRoseGarden_Cutler_20220711_152337.jpg PeachGlory-Grandiflora_StanleyParkRoseGarden_Cutler_20220711_152016.jpg

Here are R. 'About Face', and 'Peach Glory', both Grandiflora. The second one is new to me.

I like R. 'Ballerina', a hybrid Musk rose.
    Ballerina-HybridMusk_StanleyParkRoseGarden_Cutler_20220711_152029.jpg Ballerina-HybridMusk_StanleyParkRoseGarden_Cutler_20220711_151852.jpg Ballerina-HybridMusk_StanleyParkRoseGarden_Cutler_20220711_151935.jpg

    R. 'Belle Danielle' is new to me. It's a Floribunda.
    Belle-Danielle-Floribunda_StanleyParkRoseGarden_Cutler_20220711_152412.jpg Belle-Danielle-Floribunda_StanleyParkRoseGarden_Cutler_20220711_152425.jpg

I've posted this before, with the label 'Take it Easy', but the full name seems to be, according to Rosa 'Easy-to-Love® Take It Easy™' Take It Easy™ Floribunda Rose from Prides Corner Farms:
Rosa Easy-to-Love® Take It Easy™ ('WEHyoopedko')
Take It Easy™ Floribunda Rose: Patent PPAF
It's funny photographing this, because the pale colour on the outside/underside of the petals makes it seem that the red colour has been washed out by the sunshine, but that's not the case here.

Here are a couple of landscape photos.

I only photographed one rose at VanDusen Botanical Garden today - Rosa 'Hansa', introduced in 1905 by Schaum & Van Tol in the Netherlands. It was in a small section with a sign saying Rugosa roses.

It's rose time again in Stanley Park. I was surprised to see that every rose in the Rose Garden is fully open, but two years ago around this time, I said the same thing. First day of summer, you'd think I'd expect to see roses by now. I'll start with photos of the garden for @Georgia Strait.
    StanleyPark-RoseGarden_Cutler_20230620_151535.jpg StanleyPark-RoseGarden_Cutler_20230620_152058.jpg StanleyPark-RoseGarden_Cutler_20230620_153333.jpg StanleyPark-RoseGarden_Cutler_20230620_153852.jpg

Several of these have been posted before in this thread, with some details about the proper names. This time I'm just reporting exactly what the markers say, not in proper botanical format, since most of these are trademark names or registered names, not the proper cultivar names.

    Rosa About Face, Grandiflora

Rosa 'Ballerina', Hybrid Musk. I read recently that frilly stipules are characteristic of Rosa multiflora, so I searched to see if this is related to that. I found a page that says Rosa 'Ballerina' is a polyantha rose, which are garden cultivars derived from hybrids of R. multiflora. [Edited: But note @Ron B's comment in posting #36 below that the parentage of 'Ballerina' is unknown.

Rosa Garden Delight, Floribunda. I found this a little too delightful for my taste.

Edited - I forgot to include these two bonus photos. Someone who was walking out of the garden at the same time commented on what a great job these Vancouver Police people must have. The stable is very near the Rose Garden.

I did a day of single pink roses in Stanley Park, but I couldn't tell which were the same and which were different. I thought the two here were the same, but looking at the photos, the leaf margins look different.
I was told this one on Lagoon Drive at Nelson is is Rosa 'Complicata', a canina/gallica hybrid.

These at the top of the Camellia path are likely something else.

@wcutler Since we all like names on our sightings … I think the beautiful VPD horses you saw are Fergus (black colour) & Nelson (red bay colour). I would love to see them! And hear their clip clop walk.

Here are more from the Stanley Park Rose Garden, taken on July 4. The second photo was a study in red, white and blue to honour the US holiday.
    StanleyParkRoseGarden_Cutler_20230704_143128.jpg Rosa Desmond Tutu - Floribunda_StanleyParkRoseGarden_Cutler_20230704_144404.jpg

I'm staying with my recent decision to just give the names as they are on the labels, and since they are not necessarily the proper botanical names, I am not writing them in proper botanical format.
These are all floribunda. I've already posted my favourite colours in this garden, so now I'm left with red and white roses, neither of which are usually ones I pay much attention to. Well, it was only three days after Canada Day.

Beautiful roses in here! I am bereft of roses at the moment. A lovely scented 'miniature' one I had in a container died. Need to get another
