Hello - We live in mid-Ohio and bought a Roseo Marginata which is still sitting in it's nursery pot (a black plastic container). Due to construction, we cannot plant it for quite sometime - it has been very hot and the leaves are getting very brown. We have been watering it every day and have placed it in a shaded area with only morning sun - is there anyway to save it until construction is done?? Huey and Anita
Presumably Fagus sylvatica 'Purpurea Tricolor'. Expect poor color most summers, it goes brownish (bronze) even out here - a copper beech with pink margins, rather than a purple one.
Huey and Anita, I moved your post to Hortboard late last night and did not reply then. Roseo Marginata is a cultivar name for more than one plant. Are we talking about a beech or a maple or something else?
