I just read that over-roasted coffee beans make a great mulch for garden pathways. Does anybody know a source to buy these in bulk (ie. coffee roasters that have reject beans for sale)?

Do you need whole beans or can you use the grinds? I know Starbucks offers their used coffee grinds on a first-come basis for garden mulch or additive. Don't think they roast them on site. I'm sure others might save theirs for you if you request and then are quick to pick up on a regular basis - work out a regular schedule so they don't have to deal with grinds accumulating! Check with restaurants too. Also, Costco by us roasts their own on site in huge quantities, so might have whole 'burnt' beans.
