There is one white single pendulous cherry tree on the front yard of 7617 Acheson Street, Richmond. Can it be a Sendai-shidare? Dingren & Martin

It's too early for 'Sendai-shidare', and it doesn't have the long thin sepals of that cultivar. But I can't tell you what it is.

Spire There are five spires in Livingston Place (From Camstock turn right to Livingston Place, at the straight end turn left) and are blooming now on both side of the road (3 on the right and 2 left). A little fragrant. Map Link: http://goo.gl/maps/ez54
An "Accolade Grove" There are 18 blooming Accolades inside Granville Park, 6833 Livingstone Place, Richmond (From Gilbert turn right into Comstock and then another right onto Livingston Place). Apparently. the recent warm weather has pushed them to quickly peak. It is awesome to walk in the courtyard to see the flowering trees "reveal" themselves one by one. Of the eighteen trees, four largest ones were just inside the fence facing the Livingstone Place. Additionally, there are six Accolade trees around the community, two on Gilbert which we reported previously, and two on Comstock and Livingstone Place respectively. Map link: http://goo.gl/maps/27tf

Akebono' s Time has come--finally! After much waiting, we finally see the flowers of Akebono coming out fast! Today, we saw the flowers on the parking lots of the Track field, senior center and on 7500 Granville have begun to open. In a few days, there should be a sea of Akebono flowers.
I think it might be snow fountain cherry. It reminds me that I took one photo of this in Van Dusen Garden last year. Reference http://www.galbraithsinc.com/view_plant.asp?plant_id=43
I think it's Snow Fountains too (that's the trademark name - 'Snofozam' is the cultivar name), but I don't have a very good idea of what distinguishes that, except for white and weeping. Thanks for the posting, though. I also had no data on which to base the blooming date on the festival map, and I think I was way late. I've moved them all up* to show as starting to bloom April 1 (except for in Richmond, which is clearly in the deep south as far as blooming times are running). The * means I've theoretically moved them up - there's only one on the map so far.
Spire at Sandman Hotel Two Spire cherry trees are in full bloom in front of Sandman Hotel on Bridgeport Road. (Traveloge is on the other side of the street.) They are "mixed" in a group of (presumably) Amanogawa which have no flower showing as yet. Map Link: http://goo.gl/maps/Ln0n
