    Hi,
I have had a few rhododendrons for a couple of years and they have generally done fairly well. I am afraid that the harsh winter that we had in Ontario this year might have done some pretty severe damage to them though. The leaves are pale, slightly wilted and have fairly significant brown spots on them. I do see the start of a few new blooms though, so I'm taking that as an encouraging sign. If anyone has some advise about how to treat them and encourage healthy growth and blooms, that would be much appreciated.
    Thank you, Jessica

If you think it's winter burn all you can do is wait for them to grow past it. And maybe enclose them in some protective material next time it is going to be too cold for them.

Thanks for your feedback. I am not certain that the cold is what caused the damage that I see, but covering them in the winter is probably a good proactive measure to take in the future. Even last summer they didn't bloom as much as when I first got them though, so I'm not sure if there's some care I should be giving them that they're not getting.. I pretty much just try to make sure they're sufficiently watered (every 3-4days) and give them bone meal in the Spring.

    I'd discontinue the bone meal.
