My hedges (cedars) are pretty close to being dead. I'm pretty sure there's not much that can be done at this point, except to replace them. The hedges in front on my house are connected to the neighbours (which are in better shape). See attached pictures. It is realistic to plant new one in front of the old one, so that they can grow and eventually fill up the space? I was hoping not to cut down the dead ones completely since they connect to the neighbour's and create an entry arch. Thank you for your help!
