I've posted this before but cannot remember what I was told about the relationship of the wasps to the galls on a Garry Oak tree. Interestingly, these red galls are not the same the those produced the the Jumping Gall Wasp galls frequently found on Garry Oaks, nor does the wasp look like the wasps growing in those particular galls.
