    Hi
I'm new to this forum. I'm hoping to find out what is wrong with my red currant bush. There are a few canes that are dying. In the center of the cane, it's brown and hollow and some cane leaves are starting to wilt.

Any suggestions on what's wrong and how to treat the problem?

    Thanks

My ornamental “flowering currant” planted in 2010 in a good spot grew well til approx 2018 when dead twigs (actually, branches 8 feet tall) did not sprout spring leaves / blossoms

    It’s dead

HOWEVER - I notice recently that new twigs with green leaves are sprouting from the root base area

    I hope it revives.
