I don't know what this guy is. He's nice and bushy, fuzzy all over. Very thirsty -- if I'm late in watering, his leaves droop. They bounce back soon after I water him. I'd like to know exactly how to care for him. I've managed to keep him alive two years, but he's never looked as good as when I bought him. The leaves at the topside look a deep green, but under are a deep red. They're fuzzy, too. I tried to capture this in the pictures. Thanks, Rachel
Okay, now I've found cane begonias (B. Lubbergei) that look just like mine.....except mine's never had flowers. How can I get it to flower. Found things on their care, but nothing about getting it to flower.....
My begonia is happiest in a bright, sunny window. I have found that the plants that I have that have color to the leaves -red, purple, etc... - need a lot of light. They tend to fade a bit during the winter months since there isn't a whole lot of daylight in Cleveland. Come spring, they perk right up.
