I hope this isn't a stupid question, but how do I judge if it has rained enough to water my baby trees sufficiently instead of how I do it manually? What I'm most accustomed to is a very light drizzle for a day or two...is that enough to skip my scheduled watering day?
Oh my that made me lol for real! Looking forward to the sunshine...but it will be a real test for me to see if everything survives!
Sea Witch, to expand on Ron B's comment, be sure to poke around near the roots of the trees. I've noticed that there are times when my garden soil can be quite moist where nothing is growing, but completely dry around actively growing plants.
