    Hi,
I just purchased a regular "patio tomato" plant this past week, planted it in a very large planter outside, with plenty of soil and tomato food. It has a couple of budding flowers already. The problem is that as of today, there are many of "blanched" leaves that are virtually white. Is this a fungus? Vitamin deficiency? Wrong soil, or did I perchance leave it too dry with no water for the last 2 days since the last rain?
    Help!

hi, i just started growing a "big beef" tomato plant, I too have planted it in a very large container and its doing quite well. i learned that you you should water them daily as there growing up, although it rained for the last few days, I brought mine in the house because they don't like cold or wind you should look it up on the net but be specific when you look so you can find out what's wrong...good luck!

thanks! I will indeed give it some time, and do some research....strangest thing because it was so healthy when I bought it....I figure it might be that I planted it when it is not quite warm enough...
    We will see...
