I agree this appears to be Galerina - good call David! Whether it is G. semilanceata or not would require some work, specimen-in-hand and likely microscopy, as there are a number of them in this region with very similar general appearance.
In the old days when I was still a student, the Professor always stressed common thing come first in differential diagnosis. You can be correct in one or two rare ones, but you will be correct most of the times for quoting common things.
