I'm having trouble starting PPVV with a cutting. Is putting it in water okay? What else could I do? What kind of soil should I start it in or keep it in? Any information would be appreciated. I love this plant and have tried to start one every time I've ever moved (a lot) but I can't ever seem to get it to grow or keep it growing. I would like very much to have this in my indoor friendship garden, but so far no luck.

Propagating this plant is very easy. Just take a cutting that it 3-5 inches long and place it in a cup of water. Roots should sprout in about 1-2 weeks. When the roots are about an inch long remove the cuttings from the water and plant them in a small pot (2-3") with a non-heavy potting soil. Find a soil that is very porous. This way the plant will be able to easily develop a healthy root system. It should resume growth in another 2-4 weeks. That's it! Transplant, trim as necessary for desired shape.

I assume PPVV is Gynurasp. and not Passiflora sp.
