Could anyone tell me if it is okay to prune any of the following fruit trees now? plum cherry (sweet) apple pear The plum & pear tree both have shoots going up into the air that need to be cut back....I will lose the fruit where I trim, but I want to make sure I won't be leaving the tree open to any diseases. thanks e
