    Re: Passiflora Caerulea

I have a passionflower I've just planted this May and it's growing well, I got one big flower, but then I noticed other buds had fallen off, and the one big flower closed up and fell off. What has happened and what can I do?

This could be caused by many problems. Is it getting enough sun? Is it possible you have overwatered? Overwatering can cause the roots to suffocate, causing the flowers to drop. Have you been fertilizing regularly? Have you noticed any insects?

It is getting about as much sun as I can give it. It is possible I have overwatered, with the hot weather I have been watering the garden frequently. There are a couple of eaten leaves but not many and I have not seen any bugs. When I planted I used a 3 month fertilizer and have not since then.
