A customer of mine is delighted with the swedish aspen she bought a few years ago. But one is dying/dead, with symptoms that I'd not seen before. Any idea what causes whole sections of the bark to detach like this. Symptoms are not restricted to the one section. There are branches further up the tree that show similar symptoms, but the pix aren't as good.
