Prairie Fig Tree

    Is it possible to grow fig trees in either the Calgary, AB or Regina, SK areas. Recommended cultivars?

    Have a read through this thread: I'm looking for VERY cold hardy figs zone 6 or above

    My take: mature trees will be hardier than young ones, but I don't think even a mature tree will survive unless overwintered in a heated garage. But, some of those folks on that forum have compiled a list of hardy varieties and will have actual experience.
