still alive and well. Feijoa selloana. bought in square one gallon pot about two months ago. still in same pot, part sun, watered thoroughly then allowed to dry.
I have an Aquilegia chrysantha purchased post-flowering which seems to be doing okay. Looking forward to seeing it bloom next year.
It took me a while to remember the last plant I purchased; Rhododendron 'Lucie Sorensen'. Purchased May 2003 from Lucie Sorensen at Bovees Nursery, Portland, Or. This vireya rhododendron is in bloom at the moment for the third time this year.
Jasminum officinalis I potted up a small Jasminum officinalis for my patio in the spring. It looked like it was going to die until a few weeks ago. Since then it has grown in leaps and bounds. I am hoping for flowers soon. This should be a hardy plant for Vancouver, but I may overwinter the plant indoors to get it more established before planting it into the landscape next spring.
To be fair, I should mention the plant I purchased just prior to the vireya. It is (was?) an Iris orchioides purchased May 3rd at the annual Alpine Garden Club of B.C. spring sale from Paige Woodward, Pacific Rim Native Plant Nursery. It bloomed for me this spring, but it is not looking well at all, in fact, it may be dead, I won't know for sure until next spring, given it may be in a dormant state at the moment.
