I bought 2 bougainvillaea plants in the early spring. Repotted both of them with the intent to keep them year round as potted vines. Obviously bringing them indoors during the winter/cooler months.

Once repotted, they lost 80% of their bracts, flowers, and leaves, but bounced back over a few months outdoors in the heat and sunlight and are now flourishing and beginning to flower nicely.

My question. I want to keep them as potted vines moving them indoors/outdoors seasonally. They have grown vigorously. When do I prune them?
