    Hi everyone,

I have 2 pots of pothos. Both plants have been growing healthily in my house for many years. But while one has grown some very long vines, the other one hasn't. Do I have to keep the pothos hanging in order for the plant to grow long vines? Or are there other factors that may cause this?

    Please advice. Thank you!

I would suggest hanging it. I have a Golden Pothos and it prefers being high off the floor verses down on a table, I think gravity plays a big factor with this vine.

it all has to do with light. They need western or eastern light. I had mine growing in very very bright ( close to direct) light, and i couldnt stop them from growing. Also, i would put them outside fro the summer that will help alot

Thank you MinnieBoo and Canadianplant. Light could be the reason for the one that never grows is put in the middle of my sitting room, while the one that keeps growing is put near the balcony. Let me put my pothos somewhere else and see how it goes :)
