I have had this ponytail palm for about 6 years and until a month ago it was beautiful. I have not changed its location and only water once ever 10-12 days. I have two other palms that are doing great and I am hopeful someone here can assist with advice on how to keep this beauty from dying.

Looks pretty good to me. The newest leaves are green and sticking straight up. The eldest, inside leaves need to be pulled straight down and off. That should be done anytime the eldest goes ugly. It may be time to re-pot after six years of normal growth, or not, and this is the season to do it. Use top soil from a big box store, $2 or $3 for more than you need. Stay away from "potting mixes" which always have way-y-y-y-y too much ground up paper and are thus too wet for a desert plant. Otherwise, just do what you've been doing for six years.
