I bought this a couple of months back it's probably 7 to 8 ft tall has you can see there's only a 2 iches of soil left from the base of the palm in the Pot....I live in Central California and the Pony tail palm is in full sun...During the summer gets in the tripple digits at times....My question is should I replant it in a bigger pot or in the ground? I feel it's stressed out cuz there's hardly no room in the pot...Do I need to trim the leaves off the palm? When I got it it was in a porch the guy told me these palms are hardly to sun and the winters here...I live in zone 9 which get over dozen freezes at night during the winter months.....My friend has one planted in the ground and hes look more greener then mine...During the summer I was watering it a couple of times a week due that the it was hot and the surrounding dirt was dried...I have a moistrue stick which it's hard to tell becuase it's so root bounded to the cement pot...Please help! I don't want to have this pretty palm die on me...
