Hi all, I'm looking for a pear tree compatible with my Early Gold. I'm in zone 7 on the coast. Ideas?
    Thanks.

I see your difficulty. Early gold pear or Pyrus 'Jefgold' is a new cultivar, so it is hard to find specific suggestions for a pollinator. Probably any European pear will work. When you look up a pear pollination chart (common on nursery pages), it appears that most pears in the same group can cross pollinate each other, but they are not self-fertile.
