We moved into our home 8 years ago. We just discovered a plum tree. This was the first year it produced fruit. The problem is that the tree is covered with beetles. We also have apple trees with the same problem. Any suggestions?

I had similar situation with a Montreal plum and the nursery suggested to spray Bug-X. It worked but you have to watch for repeat appearance of the beetles.
