Identification: Please help

    i don't know. pretty cool looking though!!

    does it flower??

    is it a bulb or tuber or caudex? kind of looks like it would be.

    looks like it, I just got it yesterday from a friend that moved and I love it. She couldn't remember what it was called. Don't know if it flowers either. Found a thread from years ago that looks just like mine, that person said theirs does. They thought maybe Alocasia but I couldn't find one that looks like mine.

    Might be Alocasia cucullata, Chinese Taro.

    Agree with Junglekeeper - that's an Alocasia. Score for you! It's not very often that the non C. esculenta species make it into pots for houseplants! It will eventually produce an inflorescence if it's happy.

    yep, that's it!! Thanks for the info. I'm going to find a spot for it with more light and hopefully it will be happy soon.
