I am not sure why my plant is doing this or if its normal. I bought this tiger lily 3 weeks ago, its been slowly yellowing up from the bottom and I want to stop it and help it if i can. Also, once the flowers bloom and the petals fall off, what should I do with it. There were no care instructions that came with the plant. I leave it in the sun light, and don't over water it. Possibly virused, lilies are quite prone to these. Flowers look a little abnormal, but maybe the structure shown here is a characteristic of the cultivar. It's also very short, perhaps treated with height retardant. Tiger lily (Lilium tigrinum) is a different kind. This is some kind of hybrid, maybe an Asiatic Hybrid.
It is way to cold still to let them sit outside, it sits by the patio door all day. How would i help it if it has a virus? Its about a foot tall.
