This plant has been thriving for several months, but suddenly it has become quite limp and "noodly". Its stem which held many, many blossoms has become quite mushy.

If you can give me its name, and maybe cast some light on its problem, I will be appreciative. I call it a parrot plant for lack of a name.

Looks to be an Impatiens. May be having problems with lower night temperatures of advancing season.

It is an Impatiens niamniamensis. It does not want to be too wet, especially as the nights cool down a bit. They are quite easy to propagate from cuttings which is great because as they get older they seem to drop their lower foliage. Joe

Many thanks for your help. I will place this in a warmer area and try not to water as much to try to revive. Or should I simply cut it back and/or start new cuttings?
