This bush has sort of a sweet smell to it. I am in San Antonio TX, but I have smelled this same scent my whole life out in the woods in East Texas and I believe I have smelled it in Mossouri as well while hunting. I had never identified the source of the smell till I moved here and they had them at our apartment and found the smell coming from this bush. It bloomed only for about a week in late April. I can't remember if they were yellow or white, but it was a lot of small flowers. I have posted as many pictures as I could. They stopped trimming them a while back so they have grown a lot. It stays this green year around and the smell is there all year as well. I want to put these around my house I am buying in Houston TX.

Please help, no one here knows what it is.[GMAP][/GMAP]

Looks like a species of jasmine (Jasminum).

The closest thing I have been able to find online is confederate jasmine. But these leaves always seemed a little lighter green than the pictures of CJ I have found online.
