Hello, I have a 1 ft. tall Yunnan Pine that I would like to plant in my garden. Since it's hardy to zone 8, I was wondering how well it will do in west marin (coastal). If I keep it in a cool, sunny spot, will it do all right? Will it do all right with wind? Thanks. -Maricela
Should do fine, though it does like plenty of summer heat, so may not enjoy the coastal fog belt too much. Try planting it on a southeast-facing slope to be out of the fog as much as possible.
