Identification: Plant identification

    It's a common plant I think just don't know what it is. Can someone help me. It's the plant on bench to the far left. Another one on the right tall plant with thorns. August2009 045.jpg

    They're both Euphorbia; which one I cannot immediately recall. E. pachypodioides, I think.

    Pachypodium is a genus of succulent spine-bearing trees and shrubs, native to Africa. It belongs to the dogbane family, Apocynaceae. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pachypodium or so says Wikipedia.

    Dang, I always get those two mixed up. Salt's right - they're Pachypodiums.

    With the names so similar I don't think anyone could blame you Lorax!
