Plant ID needed

    I went canoeing and found this plant and I cannot find it in my plant ID book I have in my room. I hope you guys can come to my aid and help me.

    That is the one I thought it might be, but not being from that area, I wasn't for sure.

    It smells of sage but sweeter.

    Odd, as Myrica gale is distinctly sweet-resinous perfumed.

    I am sure this is sweet gale also. If you are near Vancouver and ever come down to Washington you can see it well from the boardwalk at the Tennant Lake Nature Center near Ferndale. This site is not far west of Interstate 5, making it a convenient stop when passing through.
