    Pinus mugo 'Sunshine'

    I like its variegated yellow bands, shown in the close-up photo. In the landscape, when viewed from far, it appears to have a soft green underneath with yellow highlights giving it great depth and interest. It also offers a great texture and it's bright yellow stands out among other greens, blue and burgundy color foliage. In my area it does not mind afternoon sun.
