Can anyone help me to identify the tropical indoor plant in the attached photograph? Thanks a lot! Margaret
i do beleive that is a Stromanthe Sanguine . (sp) .. search google for it .. i think it is also called a Ti plant .. they are a beautifull plant .. i love them ... Marn
Of these two suggestions, the Never-Never plant seems to be the more promising lead. Having googled both and looked at the photos and descriptions, the plant has the pink undersurface mentioned as characteristic of the Never-Never plant, and it seems more horizontal than the Ti plants which appear to be more vertical. I'll have to go back at take a closer look at the plant at the local municipal greenhouse, which I visit about once a week. Thanks for both suggestions! Margaret
ok here is a link to the one i was trying to figure out the name .. and some info here .. it is a member of the ginger family .. http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/59470/ it is a beautifull plant .. Marn

I have one of these at home and it is not doing well, it is in an east facing sun room, and I water it when the top two inches of soil dries out, but a lot of the leaves are dying anyway- mild fertilizer (1/2 strength) every other watering. any tips?
Never mind- I just checked the link you provided earlier- Needs full to partial shade, do not let it dry out... what a dope I am...
