These cones were under a Pinus bungeana. There’s a Pinus maximartinezii next to them. These trees had no cones on the tree to be able to match. The only other pine semi-close was Pinus brutia ssp eldarica – this tree had cones on it and these pix don’t match it at all. Any help in ID greatly appreciated. Cone A: Symmetric; with prickle; 4.5 mm x 3.0 mm Cone B: Asymmetric; 6.5mm x 2.5mm Cone C: Asymmetric; 8.5mm x 4.5mm
Cone A: Pinus bungeana, very old (weathered) cone Cones B & C: Pinus pinaster, smaller than average, but typical scale structure. Presuming you mean cm, not mm!
Pinus bungeana is usually a fairly prolific cone-producer; you should be able to get a better one before too long ;-)
