hi everyone, i like to know from the photo below, does anyone know how old my plant is? and will my plant grow any larger than this with more leaves and spikes? is phalaenopsis slow growing or fast grwoing? so curious to see what it looks when it reaches maturity.
I would put your phal at 2 to 3 years old. It is almost at maturity. It may grow a few more leaves, but usually phals only have 2 to about 6 leaves at a time. Spikes come with maturity and good care. More than one spike come with maturity, exemplary care, and the genetic ability of that cross to produce them. I would consider phals to be slow growing, meaning they put out 1 to about 4 leaves per year. They will also lose a few per year too, which is why they never have a lot of them. Hope this answers your questions.
