I saw this plant in the garden at a community centre in May. It was a low mound of these purple flowers. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what it is and any characteristics about it. Thanks!
Agree, Anemone nemorosa, various named cultivars. Seem to like some moist shade, forms clumps. Foliage disappears in the summer.
A cultivar, or more likely hybrid, of Anemone nemorosa. The leaves aren't quite typical of normal wild Anemone nemorosa, so I'd suspect a hybrid with another Anemone species.
she said "mound of purple flowers" so I thought maybe the picture was a little misleading....looking very pink.
