I have a pencil cactus that is approximately 15 years old and quite large - indoor plant in a very large clay pot. It is approx. 4 ft. wide and 5 ft. long... drapes like a fern - very heavy. During this time it has bloomed - maybe three times - tiny yellow flowers - only on a small portion of the plant.

What can I do - fetilize with what - to possibly make it bloom?

A friend of mine is wanting a start from this plant. What size cutting should I take and how should she start it.

    Thank you.
