Paulownia Tomentosa my baby tree has sprouted!

    it sprouted i had it in the greenhouse, then the damm frost come and killed the first few shoots, i had to chop it down and i removed it back indoors where the plant has recoverd and looking healthy, so my question is shall i remove the shoot at the lower right as i want it to grow as big as possible?

    when do u think i should plant out maybe late april? any advice plz shall i ferterlize it also? i wanna see this thing growwwwwwwwwww cheers everybody!

    Personally I'd remove the side shoot. It's a matter of taste really.
    As far as planting outdoors is concerned, these are relatively hardy and should stand up to most conditions. Winter cold will knock it back in cold areas but should return in spring, and in milder areas it's a deciduous tree. Around here we have some large stately specimen.

    So this type of tree will never grow tall in NY?

    they die back in frost & winters, but should stand uk climate

    Ok, I just saw a couple of photos of this tree growing happily in NYC. The tempertures are a little higher in the city because of all the buildings I assume, so, I still think it would do fine here and grow into a tree, not just grow to bush size and die down..
