I purchased a seedling because I thought it had a rather unique color, a pastel pink similar to cherry blossums. This is a green leafed seedling, coloration might be from a lack of sun in the store, but will continue to observe. The stems are a light red.
Those are beautiful! My worry is that they're 'sports', a sort of mutation that may have little or no chlorophyll in the leaves to make food with, and may not survive, but it does look like it's doing well so far, so keep it in light shade vs full sun and good luck!
I have seen that same coloring in late summer growth on my young Winter Flame. The color did not hold long and the leaves become more normal in the following seasons. MJH
