hi i have a panda plant that had a problem with it's leaves but now the top is all cured and it's growing lots of rootsoff the sides. Question is can i cut this part of the plant and root it just as is and how would also be helpfull Thanks omni
You can take pretty large cuttings from those plants. Just be sure to let the cut end dry over for a few days before you plant it. Then don't water it for a couple of weeks and then only a very, very little until you see it "pirk-up".
Thanks i was just wondering if i could cut it were all the roots are and then just bury it with dirt and it would grow
Sure, but be sure to let where you cut it dry over and water very lightly. If you plant it wet and water it you will very likely lose your plant to rot.
Yes, it's the same with every succulent I know off. Unlike other plants where drying out is the major cause of failing cuttings, with succulents (including cacti) it is rot from too much water.
