This little Palm tree has done great ever since I rescued it. We bring it indoors for the winter and leave it out all summer. Since bringing it in this winter it has started getting brown spots on the leaves. Is this normal? I don't know very much about palms do any advice or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

I don't know much about palms. But, I googled "black spots on palm" and got a lot of info. Seems like your dealing with some sort of spores. I would either bag that leaf to eliminate spores spreading or cut it off. Palms do not like to have their fronds wet, so always water from the bottom.

On google I only pay good attention to items that are from either Universities such as UBC and their Extension Agents or Government studies. Don't take advice from someone like "Aunt Hatties plant info". barb

I don't know what the problem is but the plant looks more like a yucca than a palm.
