I live in southern New Mexico and have several newly planted Mexican Palm trees. We received a hard freeze (16 degrees) two weeks ago and the fans are now brown/blackish but green in the center looking down towards the trunk. Do you think that they are now dead or will they come back in the spring? Also, do I need to continue watering throughout the winter?
